We only ask for what we need to find you financing, and we tell you exactly where it goes.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how KAPVOY Advisory (“KAPVOY”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal data when you use kapvoy.sg or engage us as your financing advisor. We handle personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

By using this site, completing our eligibility quiz, or contacting us by WhatsApp, phone or email, you agree to the practices described here.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you complete our eligibility quiz or get in touch, we collect your name, email address and mobile or WhatsApp number, along with the business details you provide: what type of financing you need, how long your business has been operating, how much you want to borrow, and your business structure.

Information you give us later. If you proceed with an application, we may collect further information needed to approach lenders on your behalf. This can include company particulars, financial statements, bank statements, and identification documents required by the lender for their own verification and regulatory checks.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive basic technical data when you visit: pages viewed, approximate location, referring site, browser and device type. We use two analytics tools. Vercel Analytics collects aggregated traffic data and does not use tracking cookies. Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how visitors move through the site, for example how many people start and complete the eligibility quiz; it does set cookies in your browser and assigns a random identifier to your device. We use it to improve the site, not to identify you personally, and we do not use it for advertising or remarketing. You can opt out using Google’s browser opt-out add-on or your browser’s cookie controls.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and our services are intended for business owners and directors only.

3. Why we collect it

We use your personal data to:

  • Assess which lenders and financing products you are likely to qualify for
  • Contact you about your enquiry, by email, phone or WhatsApp
  • Prepare and submit applications to lenders on your behalf, with your agreement
  • Answer your questions and provide ongoing advice through the process
  • Keep records of our advice and your instructions
  • Improve our website, content and services
  • Meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not send marketing on behalf of third parties.

4. Who we share it with

Lenders and financial institutions. This is the core of what we do. To find you financing, we share relevant details of your enquiry and application with banks, licensed finance companies, and other credit providers we believe are a genuine match for your profile. We identify a small number of appropriate lenders rather than broadcasting your application widely, and we will tell you which lenders we intend to approach before we submit anything on your behalf.

Once your information reaches a lender, that lender handles it under its own privacy policy and its own regulatory obligations. We are not responsible for how a lender uses data you have agreed for us to pass on.

Service providers. We use a small number of third parties to run our business: Vercel (website hosting and analytics), Google Analytics (site usage measurement), Resend (email delivery), and Green API (WhatsApp notifications). They process data only to provide those services to us. We also maintain our own customer records system to track enquiries and applications.

Legal and professional. We may disclose personal data where required by law, court order, or a regulatory authority, or to our professional advisors where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

5. Consent, and withdrawing it

We collect and use your personal data with your consent, given when you submit your details to us. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing hello@kapvoy.sg with the word “withdraw” and the details you want us to stop using.

We will action a withdrawal within a reasonable time and confirm once done. Please note that if you withdraw consent while an application is in progress, we will generally be unable to continue acting for you, and any application already submitted to a lender is subject to that lender's own process. We may also need to retain certain records after withdrawal in order to meet legal obligations.

6. Contact preferences and the Do Not Call registry

When you give us your number and ask us to get in touch, you are consenting to us contacting you about your enquiry by phone, SMS or WhatsApp. That includes numbers listed on Singapore's Do Not Call (DNC) registry.

You can tell us to stop at any time. Reply “STOP” to any message, tell our advisor directly, or email hello@kapvoy.sg. We will stop contacting you about anything other than a matter you have an active application for.

7. Accessing and correcting your data

Under the PDPA you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it in the past year, and to ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.

Email hello@kapvoy.sg and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and in any case within 30 days. If we cannot meet that timeline we will tell you when to expect a response. We may need to verify your identity first, and a reasonable fee may apply for access requests that take significant time to fulfil.

8. How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not proceed, we keep your details for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, then delete or anonymise them.

Where we have acted for you, we keep records of the engagement and the advice given for as long as needed to meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. That is typically at least five years from the end of the engagement.

9. How we protect it

We use encrypted connections across our website, restrict access to enquiry and application records to the people who need it, and work with established service providers who maintain their own security standards.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send identification documents or financial statements to us by unsecured email unless we have asked you to and explained how.

10. Data transferred outside Singapore

Some of our service providers store or process data on servers outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that required under the PDPA.

11. Other websites

Our site links to lender websites, government resources such as Enterprise Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and other third-party pages. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Please read their policies directly.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The current version is always on this page, with the date it took effect shown at the top. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
